Saturday 25th July – Growing Strong Families & Strong Communities

Join Michelle Hillier this Saturday from 8am till 10am, we’re talking about
Growing Strong Families & Strong Communities
This week on Building Stronger Communities, we explore how practical support, connection and opportunity can help families navigate challenges and build stronger futures.
Hear from Western Sydney single parent Colleen, who shares her journey of rebuilding financial stability, alongside Chris Leung from The Smith Family, discussing Saver Plus – a free 10-month financial education and matched savings program that helps eligible Australians build savings habits and save towards education costs, with savings matched up to $500.
Francis Owusu joins us to talk about the Unstoppable 24 Movement Challenge and how sport can create opportunities, inspire young people and strengthen community connections.
We also meet our Community Champion, Dajana Simic, who saw an opportunity for local mums to connect and started a monthly Mums & Bubs Walk – a simple grassroots initiative bringing families together through conversation, movement and community connection.
Plus, our regular segments Switch off and Connect, Knowledge is Power, Through young Eyes with Piper Johnson, Brain Energy with Luke Evans and a new Segment Local Locker Room with Bethanie Jones.
Because stronger families and stronger communities are often built through the same things – support, connection, knowledge and opportunity.
