Funded by a Library Council of NSW grant, Studio 2166 along with complementary initiatives the Workary and lab.LX, reflects the evolving role of libraries from being just about books to centres for creative activity.
The Workary is a permanent addition to Whitlam Library and is a dedicated space, designed specifically for local business people, entrepreneurs and business students.
The space seats more than 100 people and has has four specifically-designed meeting rooms, free shared work areas, free Wi-Fi access, lockers, access to expert business resources and an onsite cafe.
The Workary, built thanks to a State Library of NSW grant, will also host seminars and workshops covering a wide range of business topics.
“Business inspiration happens at the Workary, Whitlam Library’s new co-working space in the heart of Cabramatta,” mayor Carbone said.
“Residents can work, connect and learn in a space dedicated to cultivating and supporting local businesses and start-ups.
