It’s time to get into the festive spirit with the annual Blacktown City Christmas Lights Competition.
Entries in the popular competition open on 1 November, with residents encouraged to decorate their home, townhouse or villa, or nominate a neighbour’s property.
More than $4000 in cash and prizes will be on offer across several prize categories, including: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Overall City winners, Best Overall Townhouse/Villa Property, Ward Winners, Encouragement Award, Champion of Champions and Best Street.
We are delighted to see the annual Christmas Lights Competition return after what has been a particularly difficult year for our City.
This competition is a great way for residents to get creative with their decorating skills and spread some Christmas cheer in their neighbourhood.
With the challenges of 2020-2021 not far from mind, this is a chance for us to come together in our communities and celebrate.
We look forward to seeing the wonderful displays in this year’s competition.
Entries in the competition will close on Friday, 3 December with judging to take place between 6-12 December.
Home owners participating in this year’s competition are encouraged to put in place COVID-safe measures and ensure that visitors maintain social distancing while on the property or footpath.
Council wishes to acknowledge the sponsors of this year’s competition – Hoyts, Commercial Christmas and Good Luck Plaza.
