Now’s your chance to have your say on Cumberland Council’s Operational Plan which details all the services, programs and infrastructure works council will work on next financial year.
The Operational Plan also details the annual budget, revenue policy, rates, fees and charges.
Mayor Steve Christou said the pandemic’s financial impacts were reflected in the budget.
“The financial challenges over this past pandemic year have been immense and we’ve taken difficult decisions to ensure that we can deliver essential services and important infrastructure projects within budget,” Mayor Christou said.
“It’s the careful financial decisions and strong leadership that have ensured that Cumberland City Council is one of the most financially stable councils in NSW.
“I have always been a believer in ensuring our foundations are set in stone. That’s why the “back to the basics” approach continues to focus on bringing the best infrastructure, facilities, centres, and programs to Cumberland City,” he said.
“I encourage transparency and accessibility. This is your chance to have input on what you want to see in your local community.
“We value your feedback and look forward to hearing from you,” he said.
The Operational Plan outlines Councils commitment to service delivery and the specific programs and projects to be delivered in response to the Cumberland Community Strategic Plan 2017-2027.
Hard copies of the Operational Plan will be available at Councils Auburn and Merrylands Customer Service Centres and at Cumberland Council libraries.
