SWR 99.9 FM are delighted with the announcement that we are finalists at the 2021 Community Radio Awards! With more than 30 categories, the Community Radio Awards celebrate innovation, perseverance and community champions within our sector. The awards are administered by the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA) to community stations across Australia.
This is the second year where SWR have been nominated as a Finalist by the CBAA. Our nomination in 2020 saw Digital & Marketing Chairperson, Dylan Caple, a finalist at last year’s awards for Outstanding Youth Engagement.
In 2021, we’re proud to share that we are a finalist for the Excellence in Community Engagement Award. The award recognises a station that has achieved meaningful engagement with its community interest in its activities.
We’d like to extend a congratulations to our neighbours, Alive 90.5 FM in Baulkham Hills. We also pass this congratulations on to Perth’s 98five and Bowral’s Highland FM. All have been recognised for the same award, and we wish our counterparts the best of luck!
This is a recognition of not only the role that SWR 99.9 FM plays in Sydney’s West, but also the roles our staff and volunteers play in the local community. Thank you to everyone, and especially our loyal supporters!
