Blacktown City Netball Association (BCNA) is excited to be working with Blacktown City Council to help deliver a bright future of netball in our city.
Blacktown City Netball Association’s new home is at Schofields. The BCNA is working with Blacktown City Council (BCC) to develop a new home for local netball in Schofields. It is understood that the land is in the process of being purchased and the facility requirements are being reviewed with Blacktown City Netball Association and Hockey NSW.
A sports consultant is helping to identify innovation solutions for playing surfaces. The planning for the new netball facility in Schofields began in 2020 which was approved by the NSW Government. This provides the BCNA and Hockey NSW a rough timeline for for key dates and milestones.
They hope to have the land purchase finalised by 2022. They are aiming to begin construction of the facility in 2023 and hopeful it will be completed in 2024. If this is the case it will be ready opening for community use in 2025.
